இந்திய அரசின் தரக்கட்டுப்பாடு அமைப்பான 'பீரோ ஆஃப் இந்தியன் ஸ்டாண்டர்டு’ (பி.ஐ.எஸ்.) என்கிற அமைப்புதான் இந்த ஹால்மார்க் முத்திரையைத் தருகிறது. ஹால்மார்க் முத்திரை வழங்கும் டீலர்கள் நாடு முழுக்க இருக்கிறார்கள். இந்த முத்திரை வழங்குவதற்கு பி.ஐ.எஸ். அமைப்பு இவர்களுக்கு லைசென்ஸ் தந்திருக்கிறது. இந்த லைசென்ஸ் பெற்ற டீலர்கள் மட்டுமே ஹால்மார்க் முத்திரை வழங்க முடியும்.
தர பரிசோதனை!
தங்களுக்குத் தேவையான நகைகளை பொற்கொல்லர்களை வைத்து செய்வது தான் நகைக் கடைகளின் முந்தைய வழக்கம். ஆனால், இப்போதோ வளையலுக்கு ஒருவர், நெக்லஸுக்கு ஒருவர், மோதிரத் திற்கு இன்னொருவர் என பலரிடமிருந்து நகைகளை மொத்தமாகச் செய்து, அதை வாங்கி விற்கின்றனர் நகைக் கடைக்காரர்கள். இப்படிச் செய்யப்படும் நகைகளை ஹால்மார்க் டீலர்களிடம் கொடுத்து நகையின் தரத்தைப் பரிசோதிக்கின்றனர்.

HDFC Securities Launches E-WILL Writing Service

HDFC Securities Launching - Place and Date : New Delhi, July 20: 

Preparing a Will is just a click away as brokerage firm HDFC Securities has launched an ‘e-Will’ writing service.

“This is a first-of-its-kind service in India and enables individuals to easily draw up a tenable Will online with help from a legal firm,” HDFC Securities Managing Director Aseem Dhru told PTI.

A person can prepare a Will in an easy and hassle-free manner by registering on the Web site, he said, adding, a person has to give a list of assets and to whom one would like to bequeath them to.

“Our legal advisor would prepare a draft and send it to the creator for approval. Once it is approved, a tenable Will is prepared for the execution,” he said.

HDFC Securities, a subsidiary of HDFC Bank, has collaborated with a partner Legal Jini to offer this service.

The affordable doorstep facility would not take more than a week. Registration is insisted upon in case of assets over Rs 1 crore, he added.

“All this would come at a cost of Rs 4,000 with a guarantee of confidentiality of information,” he said.

There has been a tremendous response to this product and a large number of customers across the country are getting themselves registered because of the convenience factor, he said.

To begin with, he said, a ‘Do it Yourself Will Service’ would be available to customers of HDFC Bank having customer base of 2.8 crore. HDFC Securities has 20 lakh users.

However, this service would be extended to non-HDFC Bank customers later as preparation of Will is a critical part of financial planning in the financial lifecycle of every individual, he said

Will-writing will add value and bolster the existing suite of products and services of the company, he added.

In an unpopular decision, the railway passenger fare was increased by 14.2 per cent in all classes while freight charge was hiked by 6.5 per cent with effect from Friday

The railways sought to correct the long running distortion in the fare structure by hiking passenger fares by 14.2 per cent across all classes and freight charges by 6.5 per cent. The increase takes effect immediately.

The previous government had decided to hike fares from May 20, but its implementation was stayed because the announcement was made on the same day as declaration of election results.

However, the speed with which this government took the decision caught senior railways officials by surprise because just a day earlier, Railway Minister Sadananda Gowda had told them that some rounds of consultations were still pending.

Senior officials said the hike in passenger fares will help pare down the diversion of profits from the freight to passenger segment. Successive Governments have shied away from biting the bullet on passenger fares because of fears of public dissatisfaction.

As a result, passenger hikes in previous years, especially in the more patronised second class and suburban travel, were either rolled back or of amounts that were lower than planned. The railways moves about 600 crore passengers every year.

While Opposition parties opposed the hike, senior officials said this will partially restore railways financial health in both mid and long terms. For now, it will leave an adequate amount to modernise existing infrastructure and build new one. In the long term it will help stave off the financial predicament faced by the country's largest single employer when the Sixth Pay Commission was announced.
